ReFuelEU Aviation Workshop

On February 24–25, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Republic of Moldova hosted a workshop dedicated to the implementation of the European ReFuelEU Aviation framework. The event brought together experts from EASA and DG MOVE, as well as representatives from the aviation authorities of Ukraine and Georgia.

The objective of the event was to clarify the requirements of the regulation and analyze practical implementation challenges. For the Republic of Moldova, this regulatory framework represents a strategic step toward integration into the European aviation system, alignment with the European Union's climate goals, and the strengthening of a sustainable aeronautical sector.

The workshop highlighted the need for close inter-institutional cooperation, involving the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Environment, ANRE (National Agency for Energy Regulation), and representatives of the Moldovan aviation industry, to ensure a coordinated and efficient transposition.

By organizing this event, the Civil Aviation Authority reaffirms its commitment to developing a modern, resilient aviation sector aligned with European sustainability standards.
