Launch of the information campaign for users of unmanned aircraft: "Fly legally, fly safely!"

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Republic of Moldova (CAA) announces the launch of the information campaign “Fly legally, fly safely!”, dedicated to unmanned aerial vehicles (drones).
The campaign will run from October 20 to 31, 2025, and aims to increase compliance with national and European legislation in the field.

• The purpose of the campaign is to fully and transparently inform all stakeholders – from users and amateur pilots to importers, distributors, and drone manufacturers – about legal requirements and the necessary steps to operate drones safely.

• Campaign objectives:
  
  * Inform users about the three categories of operations (Open, Specific, Certified) and the basic rules to follow (altitude, distance from people, and restricted areas).
  * Clarify the process for obtaining permission for drone flights.
  * Raise market awareness (importers and distributors) about the requirements for placing drones on the market.
  * Promote the digital map with geographic zones and flight restrictions – an essential tool for safe mission planning.
   

Drone usage has grown exponentially in recent years, offering vast opportunities but also generating significant risks to aviation safety and the general public.
CAA emphasizes that compliance with the law is not only an obligation but also a civic responsibility. Unauthorized flights in restricted zones or near airports can endanger commercial aircraft and attract severe penalties.

  * Infographics for operator registration and flight authorization.
  * Q&A sessions to clarify the most common questions.
